Short bio

Omar Camero has more than 30 years of experience in financial consulting, auditing, and internal control, including work with firms such as BDO and Arthur Andersen. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Panama, as well as a master’s degree in Taxation and holds a postgraduate degree in International Taxation from the International University of La Rioja, Spain.. He has also completed specialized training in transfer pricing, international taxation, and forensic auditing at institutions including Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and INCAE Business School.

Omar has held senior roles in the energy sector, spoken at conferences in several countries, and published articles in specialized journals. He is a member of the Institute of Tax Specialists of Panama and served as treasurer of International Fiscal Association (IFA) Panama. He is an active member of the Panama’s Association of Certified Public Accountants.
